From viewing the official Allstar baseball website , it is remarkable the amount of options they heve there listed for the upcoming game. This game sounds and looks outstanding ! I had last years version on the ps2 but my friend had it on the Xbox and one thing that I noticed was that the ps2 version had no ballpark shadows and the xbox did , I was disappointed in that aspect , whe didn't they include the ballpark shadows in the ps2 version ? Anybody know if they will this year ?
Someone on another post mentioned that this years game has real time ballpark shadows - I am hoping this means shadows on the field from light towers and the facade that gradually mave as the game proceeds over time, I hope this is the case.
There is no doubt that Allstar Baseball has the best looking ballparks , in every way . I find the other games like WSB and HH , ahd MVP look a little cartoonish IMO .
And yes , I played all the other games in years past , HH , Triple Play , WSB etc. and I have to say that none of them compete on the same level as Allstar baseball.
WSB was the closest , but after playing Allstar baseball first before trying wsb something was missing. I can't put a finger on it. I think it was the graphics , didn't look true to life like Allstar. The game play was decent , but I like the gameplay of Allstar better.
Triple play was truly horrible . The players looked odd , and the game play was bad , Nuff said !
High Heat - well I just don't understand this campany. Year after year they put out a baseball game that looks 10 years out dated in the graphics dept. Come on it is the 2000's . All the High Heat fans boost about the gameplay but what is the good if you can't look at it , it just looks terrible . Sorry people but I just can't play a game like that .
Please remember that I have played all the above mentioned games in the past , and the aforementioned is just my opinion. I don't want to start a war with the HH and WSB or TP ( now MVP ) people on this forum.
Take care,
