I just bought MLB 2K7 yesterday for 360. Graphics was phenomenal. The realism of the pitch speed and the split second decision of whether or not to swing the bat is very well captured. But somewhere along the line it still wasn't as fun as HH 2004. I just wish Microsoft, with the purchase of HH franchise, would make an investment into continuing that franchise. Even though developing for 360 would meant that everything have to start from the ground up, but the HH team had the right ideas about baseball games which could served as a foundation.

I'm with you. I've played MVP 2005 for the last two seasons and it's acceptable but isn't as realistic as HH2004. It leaves a sim fan longing for what used to be.
Has anyone heard logic as to Microsoft's decision to "sit" on HH for going on three years ? -

Re: I always find myself going back to HH 2004
I'm going back to HH2k4 now that I've heard that MLB 2k7 for Xbox is a pile of crap (just waiting on Pudge to release his 2007 rosters). I guess one roadblock to reviving High Heat would be that MS would have to bring in several of the old 3DO programmers. I would think they would be able to produce a MLB-licensed game since they would not be a 3rd party developer like EA or 2k. A High Heat game would probably do pretty well, as it would likely outsell 2k on the 360 and would be the only PC option.Comment

It's PC. I don't think there's a way to convert to the PS2, but do some searching. There might be a way since the PC version is basically a port of the console version of 2k4.Comment

MLB 2k7 on current gen is NOT a pile of crap. You really need to rent it for yourself to see what I mean...that is why it is imperative that people play these games for themselves and not just go off other people's impressions. MLB2k7 is the weakest game on the market, but if you only have a Xbox, it's worth a rent to see if you'd like it...it's better than last year.I'm going back to HH2k4 now that I've heard that MLB 2k7 for Xbox is a pile of crap (just waiting on Pudge to release his 2007 rosters). Anyway, I too am going to fire up HH 04 on the PC. I'm not ready to buy a next gen system until May, and the Show is good but I'm getting tired of it and MVP 05 (ps2).Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"
Now Playing:
XB1 (Forza Motorsport 6 and Horizon 2)
Switch (Mario Kart and Zelda)
PS3 (old 2k games and the Show)Comment

Could Microsoft even get the HH team now even if it wanted to? Its 2007. I'm sure these guys have all moved on and are doing other things...I just bought MLB 2K7 yesterday for 360. OK, I have to take back some of my original post. I've just got MLB 07 The Show for my PSP. I think HH2004 has finally been replaced as the most entertaining baseball video game in my book. But me and my buddy will still fire up that ole HH on his XBox whenever we hang.Comment

Pudge is still kicking? I'm really into The Show this year, but I do have an urge to play some PC HH again this season...I'm been messing around with the old default rosters, and getting quality games that once again rival the best that this generation of baseball games can put out.I'm going back to HH2k4 now that I've heard that MLB 2k7 for Xbox is a pile of crap (just waiting on Pudge to release his 2007 rosters). This game really is timeless - Most people would immediately write it off when they see the ancient graphics (which, admittedly, were almost as ancient when the game was new), but it doesn't take much more than showing off the game logs to show that this game plays one special brand of baseball.Comment

I think it is possible on the PS2,but you need to use the High Heat editor,I'm
going to try to see if it works with Pudge's file, as I just rebought this game.Comment

Yeah, he was working on 2007 roster updates for HH 2002, 2003 and 2004 and it sounded like they were close to being done a couple of weeks ago, but he hasn't posted anything lately about their status.Comment
