Just wondering if its just something fun to do, or if it will calm a guy down or what. Since you aim your pitches, how could a guy be wild (like in weaver of HH)? Where is Bguru when you need him???

Just because you're aiming your pitch in a certain location doesn't mean that's where it's going to go. So does the mound visit have any affect? When i played ASB last year I really didnt notice much degredation in the pitchers performace like what youre suggesting. In Weaver and HH, you really can notice when a pitcher is struggling.Comment

Actually, in ASB one of the big problems with the pitching interface is that you can put the ball anywhere you want. It is way too pinpoint. When your pitcher gets tired, he will start to miss a little, but it is still very slight. He definitely will lose velocity, though, causing him to start getting shelled.
In High Heat, the mound visits definitely can calm a pitcher down. We will see if it works in ASB this year.Comment

In HH they did, but not a whole hell of a lot thought, some pitchers can just make it through the rest of THAT inning, some can go an extra inning before crapping out. But it WAS very noticable that the talk settled down the pitcher, in most cases... not EVERY case, and that's what kinda made it realistic as well.Comment
