Re: OOTP Baseball
There's a good number of us that play OOTP on this site. It's a great game, best sim game that I've ever played. Very addicting. The BLB is the league most of us are in if you're interested, there's a waiting list at the moment however.Comment

My life would be incomplete if not for OOTP."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Love OOTP. It's really the only game I play consistently these days. The guy that runs the BLB is probably one of the coolest people I know.Comment

Re: OOTP Baseball
I've fooled around with previous versions (demo'd them) and am having fun with the 2007 demo. It is definitely a DEEP baseball experience.
With all the new stuff put into this year's version im thinking of pulling the trigger and buying.

"Not wonderment," he said when asked if he was surprising even himself with his hot hand in Virginia's 108-87 victory against Gonzaga on Wednesday night, when he scored a career-best 37 points. "I was just wondering why they didn't play more `D."Comment

Re: OOTP Baseball
If your enjoying the demo, you really should buy it. Its well worth the $35 or whatever it costs. I consider the fact that I pay $50-$60 dollars for a videogame that I play for a month or two and I never play again, and with ootp I play that year round, pretty much everyday. No brainer for me.
Good luck if you decide to purchase.

Re: OOTP Baseball
I purchased ootp6 about a year ago and decided last week to start a historical league with it. It starts from 1901 and is using today's rules (free agency, rule 5 draft, and a first-year player draft instead of importing the players onto their actual teams. I have also journaled it over at maddenmania.com. Re: OOTP Baseball
Go to the Community section. There is a roster section there. There are quite a few great add-ons including a couple of 2007 rosters and picture updates for players. I believe someone did the stadiums too.
I'm still playing the demo..but I think the purchase is a lock. This is one DEEP game. Nice job by the dev team.
