    Big ASB Question

Hey, this is my first post on this board.Ive been looking for a while and decided to sign up today... i got a ASB question though, in last years game it was very disappointing during the off-season when i wanted to sign a player and didnt have enough points i wanted to make a trade to free up some points but couldnt... so does anyone know if they have trades in the off-season in this years game?

What i did in last years game was when i ran out of points, i just called up my minor leaguers (when they became fake people that is) and released them. That'd be my question too.

I did the same thing. I would promote them and then cut them because you would get the points that way. Hopefully they allow trading this year in the offseason.

Haha, the bad thing about it is that the points sometimes are to little so i suggest you create a player (he uses a lot of points, but it doesn't count in the minors, in plus, you could create a new set each year) and keep him in the minors the whole season and when the time calls for it, its hasta la vista for him (just make sure it isn't someone that good, but he should have decent ratings that'll raise the point value.

                Re: Big ASB Question

There were a few ways around that.

I'd get B rated pitchers in free agency (after spring trainiing) and there $$$ would not count against my budget. Then I'd cut them the following season to sign new big time free agents and after i'd go through spring training -- they'd usually be back in the f.a. pool unsigned and ready to go to work -- but not against the budget.

Plus you could get anyone to agree to a 50 point deal @ 10 years.
So if they were asking for 3 @ 44 you'd just bump up the years by 7 and the points by 6 -- and you've just gone from a 13+ point player per year to a 5 pointer.

It made a simulation dynasty easier.
