I'm going to quote nikeford since I heard the exact same thing
"Umm, in ASB's defense, just because a pitcher hasn't given up a run does not mean he should have more in the tank. Pitchers get tired based on pitches thrown..and I read in an interview that the pitchers energy depends on number of pitches thrown and how badly he's getting hit. he could have given up 12 singles in six innings...I know for a fact they talked about upping the stamina for this years game. Remember most starting pitchers are suddenly only pitching 6 or 7 innings...this seems to be a growing trend in MLB. "
He is correct from what I hear that stamina will be based on how bad you are gettin hit and pitch count.
