Re: No Schedule Changes In ASB 2OO4 Again ......

Over at Baseballsimcentral All Star Baseball 2004 forum, someone is claiming that All Star Baseball 2004 will have random schedules. Can anyone confirm this to be for sure?

PJ noted in our interview that there will be no random schedules, but again this was some time ago.

You know what's so funny about this schedule thing? The Padres and Giants are opening the season against each other for the third year year on a row. So whay doesn't somebody call and bitch at MLB for their scheduling problems?

Peter, I saw that too...He said he knows someone at Acclaim.

Did we ask the ASB Producer or Guru in chat the other day?

I personally think schedule changes are important because I plan on getting through at least 4 years in a season. I wont play the majrotiy of my games easch season, but after you've played the same season every year it gets repetitive. I guess it really wont matter for a lot of folks because alot of you guys will only play maybe one or 2 seasons. I, on the the other hand, am going to try and get my money's worth out of franchise mode

I personally think that companies need to wake up and allow us to transfer a saved file from a franchise in a previous version to the newest version.

I'm sick and tired of playing 4 or whatever seasons in All-Star Baseball 2003 (for example) and know that I have to start ALL OVER AGAIN when I buy ASB2004. Why?

Why can't I just upload my file into ASB2004 and then have it translated in ASB2004 language so I can continue my franchise. The games have unlimited franchises now, so I should be able to use the unlimited franchise.

Oh, but the company won't make money! Uh, yea they would! Why else are you buying 2004? To get all the new features. So i can continue my franchise with the new features. Why not?

But I wanna use real rosters! And after 10 years the rosters are pretty much fake anyway. So the point is what?

Give me the ability to continue my franchise in a newer version dayamit! OOTP lets me. Yea i know it's PC and its easier but it really isn't that hard. If these guys could figure out how to make player models better and stadiums look prettier year after year (when in previous versions they claimed they used the systems full capabilities) then they can figure out how to transfer save files into a new version.

ASB just sucks, period. They've added so many new features yet can't even make the actual baseball game right.
