ASB....Does this bother anyone else?

I've never owned any console baseball games and certainly have no personal knowledge of ASB's gameplay, but it bothers me that, in the videos, it appears that the pitches are in the mit before the batter hits the ball. I say hit the ball, but it really doesn't appear that the bat ever touches the ball. Also, despite the appearance of a really late swing, Chipper Jones manages to pull an inside 98 MPH fastball from Nolan Ryan in one of the videos. It makes me wonder about this game. I'm looking for a sim. High Heat would be perfect if it had better graphics. WSB would really be perfect if it plays like a sim and I can't have 75 HR's by the All-Star break.

If I can find out and get good feedback on how well WSB sims, then I'm all over that one. Otherwise, High Heat will do fine. It'll sim really well, they just don't ever give it options. Ever. It has never had more than any game...I don't see a whole bunch of promise for it. But yeah, ASB's graphics have always irritated me.

Bothers me. Bothered me last year too.

ASB is on the "wait and see" list b/c while it does so many things right it does a little number of things horribly wrong.

I doesn't bother me, but that was problem in last years too. In the homerun replay, sometimes the ball would disappear in the catchers mitt, then it would just fly off like two seconds after the batter's done swinging.

It wouldn't bother me heck, there's been games in different genres with bigger and worse glitches then that. Just so long as you enjoy the game and there aren't too many glitches like that then it's all good.
