Re: MLB Power Pros Interview Questions

Will player ratings be based off career numbers and scouting reports or only off of last year's performance?

Can we play more than one year in Season Mode? And if so will player attributes change over a course of a career as a player ages and declines?
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: MLB Power Pros Interview Questions

Will any of the US sports dev teams take any inspiration from some of the regular Pawapuro modes such as My Life or Success and implement their own versions in future titles?

If MLB Power Pros meets or exceeds sales expectations, will we see future games in the Pawapuro series come over to the US?

Will the game work with the Gamecube and/or classic controller?

Will there be multiple options for control settings and button mapping (esp. for baserunning and fielding/throwing)?

Finally, will player ratings be based on 2006 stats alone, or will 2007 stats and/or career stats figure into player ratings?
***Looks like YankeePride asked a similar question above***

Ask them about the controls for the Wii-mote in the home run derby and exhibition game games, specifically:

          - Is the batting like Wii Sports, in that you can take full swings with Wii-mote, or is it more arcadish like in the Bigs, where there is a noticeable lag between your physical swing and what you see on screen?

          - Is the pitching like Wii Sports, where your pitch by making various throwing motions, or is it like in the Bigs where you have to twist and contort your hands and wrists to throw different pitches.

          - What is the fielding and throwing like inthe modes that use the Wii-mote? Can you throw to bases by making a throwing motion toward the base, or is this controlled by the computer?

Do you have to use cursor aim while batting during Season Mode and Success Mode?

Is there a player editor, or can you edit specific ratings?

A few other posters asked about multi-season play in Season Mode and how the players will be rated and I too would like to see those questions asked.

Who initially brought up the possibility of bringing this game over to the US, Konami or 2K?

If Season mode covers multiple seasons, are milestones/records tracked in this game like in the Japanese Pawapuro games? For example, a small little in-game cutscene would play if your player breaks the record for most home runs in a season, or most strikeouts in a career, etc.

YP.....you posted the same exact questions I posted in the News thread.

Glad to see we're all on the same page. I'm trying to think of more things.

                - How long does it take to finish a full, nine-inning game?

                - Are there in-game saves?

                - I see this game is pretty big on crowd and presentation, so is there a big difference between a regular season game and a post-season game?

Ha, I just noticed the same thing when I viewed that thread.

                  More questions:

What is the cutoff date on rosters?
Will there be an end of season roster update?

The recent Pawapuro Wii game released in Japan has some online features, will the MLB game have some as well?

What was the date of the rosters you used in the game?

Will you be bringing this game to next-gen and/or DS?

gotta say 1st, i was ecstatic when i heard this game was finally coming to the US~!

-who's doing the commentary? ever consider just somehow implementing MLB 2K's current commentary sound clips over to this game?
-will the player editing and creating new players easily (not having to go through the whole my life mode) be addressed?
-what's the AI like in franchise mode? lineup management, minor leagues, trades etc.
-how many years can you play up to in franchise mode?
-what took so long in making the decision to bring this great game to the US?
-did you consider bringing in the other baseball game i heard of (forget the name) with more realistic player graphics instead of Power Pro? not that i'm complaining at all.
-what marketing tactics or plans do you have to show ppl this game isn't just an kiddy arcade but a realistic simulation of baseball?
-is there a next gen version of this game in japan? why did you decide to just bring over the ps2 and wii version this time?

thank you thank you thank you

I haven't seen any homeruns in any videos, do homeruns bounce off scoreboards, faceds, etc?

I remember it bouncing on all the Japanese versions of this franchise that I have played. I'm pretty sure it does. Here's a Japanese version, if you watch closely you can see the ball bounce off the facade. => http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0lkH88yIGo
