ALL STAR CURSOR QUESTION

i know there is a cursor in it again this year when your abat,but does anyone know if u remove it,does it play like high heat,where u use the d pad to aim your swing ,or is it just a timingfest.i really want this game ,but the cursor bothers me.plus i really want a baseball game for the gamecube,and already have high heat for my ps2 which is on the dl right now.

why should a batting cursor for a baseball game bother you any more than a kicking meter in a football game?....I think it simulates a more realistic approach to batting and hit placement then just the timing mechanics alone

i think thewre will be 4 batting modes. 2d cursor, 3d cursor, timing based, location based (like HH).

I've never liked a hitting cursor in ANY baseball game. I've hated the "press this to hit for power swing" or "press this for a contact swing". HH takes it back to the old school the way it should be!

hey dude your right about the meter in football,but how much do u actually use it in football games,and u kinda need it anyways.don't get me wrong i hear what your sayin,i was just wondering if anyone new about the cursor this year,i'm still buying the game.

I hear ya...I just prefer the cursor system...unless of course it gives you TOO much pinpoint control. Then it becomes an arcade like novelty but the way the cursor system is implemented last year in ASB, it worked wonderfully without making batting too easy or giving you far too much control.

I hear ya...I just prefer the cursor system...unless of course it gives you TOO much pinpoint control. Then it becomes an arcade like novelty but the way the cursor system is implemented last year in ASB, it worked wonderfully without making batting too easy or giving you far too much control.

With these four modes and enough experimenting, i think that everyone should find a hitting model that suits them.
