So let me get this straight...

You can not edit created players from success mode in My Data.

So If you follow me here, even if you unlock arrange teams in season mode, move all the players to there correct teams in arrange mode, you still CAN NOT create players like joba, or buchholz unless you do it in success mode and you CAN NOT edit them in My Data:edit player???

So I have to choose one of the following 2 options?

    example A:

I go to edit player, create Joba from Proctor, assign him all his stats, but in season mode he has Proctors life time stats.

    example B:

I make Joba in success mode, (I'm restricted on his stat potiental because you can only go so far in success mode) move him to a arrange team, unlock arrange team in season for 100000 points, CAN NOT EDIT JOBA IN MY DATA or IN ARRANGE TEAM so im stuck with the limited success creation.

Why the heck can you not edit a created player from success mode? I have to create and plan out all the stats I want beforehand for every missing player on the rosters in success mode???? Then move them to there arrange team and hope I never want to edit there stats lol?

So to get the rosters I want I either have to put in about 24 hours of success mode work, or just edit all existing players? Am I missing something here?

If they let you edit a created player's stats after finishing them in Success Mode, what was the point of doing all that development work in the game mode to begin with? At least, that's my take on what the reasoning behind it is.

You pretty much need to have an idea on what stats you want your new players to have, then create that in Success mode. If you want to tweak and experiment you'll have to mess with an existing player to do it, then jump into Success once you have your final stats down.

Also note that there are certain stat combinations that are going to be impossible to create since you have limited experience points to distribute (i.e. all A ratings in every category plus several positive attributes). Then again, no rookie/minor leaguer should have those kinds of stats anyway, you wouldn't have A ratings in more than one or two categories.

So yes, you either have to edit existing players are create them in Success. I think I can fly through Success Mode in about 30 min with a finished character now, but that's if I get a good run through without any really big disasters in terms of random events or too many tournament losses via constant reloading.

Well then this kinda throws a kink in what I was going to do.

I guess just editing all existing players then setting up the arranged team to do trades, lineup adjustments, and set rotations/tendancys would be best. Still means I have to get 100000 points, but at least now i know i cant cheese success mode, I will have to generate a list of all players I want to create, and kinda plan out there stats.

Since you have to get 100000 points anyway, this might not be so bad, just time consuming... ug

Right now im gonna take all my simd season data, and alter all pitchers controll (lower every pitcher by 40 points for example) resim, and see if i get more accurate major league results, instead of allmost 400 k's in a season by peavy....

On the bright side, anyone playing this on the ps3 is welcome to my final roster set when I am all said and done. (no idea when that will be btw~)

It was to my understanding that once you successfully completed Success Mode you could edit him in my data. I did not beat Success Mode on two occassions so I can not confirm this.

But I do now they have a stat reset button on the edit player mode so that you can either clear the current statistics or you can calculate the player's statistics with the calculation tab. So you can edit a current player and change his season statistics on the edit player screen.

Those line stats you can still edit. Other info such as name and actual attributes (contact, power, stamina, etc), you can't.

However, I haven't tried assigning a created player to an Arrange Team and seeing if I can edit him there via the normal Player Edit as opposed to the Created Player Edit. If that works, we'll have a workaround.

I couldnt figure out how to edit any player stats once you make a arrange team. The only way i can see to edit is though the Edit player, and you cant choose your arranged team there.

I haven't been able to find a way to edit my created players from success mode either. If anyone finds a way please let me know. It certainly only looks like the pre-loaded games rosters are able to be edited though.

Kane- was your success player on Wii, if so, can you post the password, so we can see if we can edit him?

Nope it was for PS2 and the passwords for each player are ridiculous. It looks like there is one character per ability/attribute/etc.

If anyone on PS2 has created a player in success mode you should take a look at the password. It's like at least 5 lines of code with like 15 characters on each line.

Same with the Wii...this is always how the password system has worked. Reminds me of the NES days.

I chose to take a picture of my players(Yovani Gallardo) code. I figured it would be easier to post a pic than copy it all down and post it.
