quick 6000 from success mode (4 the Wii)

In success mode, save the week before a game, play said game, quit without saving after a win or loss, and voila, the game gives you 6000 points you can save. You then simply keep loading your save file and getting 6000 points....

i got this off gamefaqs.com, and i have not confirmed it.

It worked like 3 times, then I went back and I couldn't do it cause it deleted my player.. Not exactly sure, maybe I deleted by mistake.

I have the Wii version and this did NOT work. Perhaps someone could describe the process in more detail? Here is what I did:

1) Save & Quit the week before a game (week 3 of May, in my case).
2) Play the game.
3) Quit (no save) after the game.
4) Nothing happens! You quit, and you get no points.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to link it to my profile somehow?

You have to do this trick at the last game you play and beat success mode.

Meaning it will only work in year 3......it will not work in the beginning of success mode.

You have to beat success mode and NOT save to get the points, you save before you play the last tournament game, when you finish the game you will go through cut scenes and a congrats signal that you beat success mode......DON'T SAVE YOUR PLAYER and only save the points you gather beating success mode and repeat.

Is there a way to skip the All-Star game? I got the CONGRATS message, then when I got to the menu I quit without saving and got no points. On my second try I went through the All-Star game, then was sent to a player setup screen. When I quit from there I got the points. But sheesh, going through the championship game and All-Star game take like 45 minutes total, so I might as well do home run derby or something.

let the AllStars score 10 runs on u.
mercy rule ends the game there.
