Help with Fantasy Draft (How do you Sort)

Is there an option where you can sort the best players by position if you are doing a fantasy draft? When I tried, it seemed like you could only look at players team-by-team. I wanted to know if there was an option where you could see the best players available at each position. Thanks!

There is a search button at the top of the screen. From there you can filter based on position or by an combination of attributes. There isn't any way to just see a list of the best players in order.

At first I was annoyed by this, but the more I think about it the more I like it. If you were to really draft a team, who's to say that Fielder is a 96 overall and Berkman is a 95? This way you use what YOU think is important when picking players.

The only problem I still have with it was that it seemed to be a bit too easy to draft a killer team. My first attempt netted me a roster like this:

    Pitchers
    Santana
    Francis
    Hamels
    Bonderman
    Maine
    Cordero
    Pappelbon

    Fielders
    Howard
    Sizemore
    Utley
    Atkins
    Markakis (?)
    Bard
    Cora

After the draft my team looked a bit stacked compared to the others.

Actually, one of the things that is a pet peeve about most sports games is the way that players seem to be sorted perfectly by number (quality). Who's to say that 85 BA, 70 SL, and 90 SP is worse the 75 BA, 90 SL, and 30 SP or whatever. If you haven't really noted it, the teams in this game are not ranked by talent either. In fact, they seem to be somewhat balanced. I have no doubt that you could take a weaker team and make a run with them.[/wild tangent]

I asked this in another thread , but since you guys have the game and have actually dabbled into season mode and fantasy draft- is there a way to start a season or fantasy draft with no mlb players at all?? just random players with their own attributes.

I don't think there's a way to have randoms in a fantasy draft. That would be pretty cool, though.

I too have experienced the "stacked team" draft. It's still better than dealing with re-arranging rosters to be correct and this and that.

My starting rotation is Santana, Peavy, Webb, Beckett, and Hudson.

Lineup is Drew, Utley, Aramis, Ryan Howard, Hawpe, Hermida, Pie, and Brayan Pena.

Bench is Adrian Gonzalez, Tulowitzki, Carlos Quentin, Pedroia, and a couple of others.

just for fun, ill list my fantasy draft Kyoto Reapers expansion team.
this is the team i finally made after a couple trades

            Matsuzaka
            Verlander
            Gorzellany
            I. Snell
            E. Santana
            M. Cain
            and my created sinkerballing Closer

            created SS
            Wallace RF
            Pujols 1B
            McCann C
            M. Cabraea 3B
            A. Gonzalez, P. Fielder DH
            M. Murton LF
            created 2B
            C. Granderson CF

I tried to make team with no old guys, and descent contact.
but the AI seemed to luv the young boys too (man, that just sounded wrong), which made trading for em hard.
this made my salary 55200, i think, which i think basically translates to 55 mil $. i couldn't find a total salary, so i just sorta added my guys up hehe.
We'll see what happens when the season ends.

damn, created players aren't cheap. 5100-3500. they're supposed to be freaking 19yr old rookies

if u think about it, buying some old bats, balls and training equipment at the shop each costs 10-30 mil~!!?!
            talk about expensive

btw, off topic, as someone who's always played the NL Pirates, i've realized I really hate and find boring the DH rule.

The names might be stacked but not everyone is rated as good as they are in real life so looks could be deceiving. I did a fantasy draft but let the CPU do all the picking and I ended up with a few good players Kazmir Smoltz Hoffman but the offensive side was lacking. I did get Garrett Anderson and Chavez and Johjima though.
