CPU v CPU watchers rate best BB games

Which baseball game do u think is the best game to watch that accurately simulates a good game of baseball and why? When I say good I mean that the game has:

a variety of hits, scores, cpu AI is decent, realistic ball trajectory in the field. realistic throw speed and hits off of the bat, etc...

I have experienced these games one time of another:
    MVP o5
    NCAA 06, 07
    MLB 06, 07 (for ps3 and ps2)
    Pro Yakyu spirits
    MLB 2K7
    MLB Power Pros

    Just looking for feedback. Thx

I would have to say MLB 07 is the most realistic in terms of watching a game.

MVP 05 plays too much like an arcade when watching it....
    Never played the college games
Pro Yakyuu Spirits is also very good but the hit variety is limited to mainly line drives, doubles, and HRs.

Power Pros is not good in watching it because it moves real fast....but it excel in playing it moreso than the rest.

Yeah..I'd be interested in hearing some opinions on this. I'd like to find a good game that I can just manage, and let the cpu play out. I find this is the only way to get decent stats in a baseball game, and don't mind doing it if the action is varied, and realistic.

Thanks for your feedback. I found that at times w/MLB o7 (both ps2 and 3), the lazer line drive hits and the rocket arms were a little too much for me. I made attempts to adjust sliders to correct this but the slider system is really weird in that game with certain attributes. I also feel that the outfield is a little too huge. I don't know if others agree w/that. I have yet to see a runner gunned down on a tag up from 3rd base. Usually, the outfielder always throws to a cutoff man whereas in real BB the throw is directly to home plate unless it is cutoff to check another runner. Thus the overuse of the cutoff man has also been somewhat of a turn off for me as well. The last thing that I find is that more than not, the games I watch result in a 1-run difference at the end of the game. In a sense it becomes predictable b/c you can tell when the losing team is about to go on their run to close the gap in score to either tie, take the lead or fall short by a run. Speaking of predictable, it seems that the CPU also has to score within the first 3 innings as well - many times from a HR in the first. I like the game but these issues have sort of turned me away from it. I actually feel that the most balanced game in terms of watching that does not have the issues I described earlier is NCAA 06 and then MVP 05 - when sliders are adjusted correctly.

Do u guys have slider sets for watching CPU then re: the Show (ps2 or ps3)? As stated in my previous post there were certain things that i saw and attempted to rectify by use of sliders. If one of u guys has a set I would appreciate you sharing it w/me.

PS3 here. Although I play almost all my games, I think I move the pitch count up a few clicks, errors up a couple clicks and that's really it.

Can anyone confirm that the sliders actually work on CPU vs. CPU, or does it default.

I personally believe it's all in MKs player attribute changes that he made.

Yeah, the sliders definitely work (as well as they do in human games, anyway). Turn up the CPU pitch speed and you can see it fairly easily. Also, only the CPU-controlling sliders show up in the in-game list when you're watching a CPU game or managing.

I addressed some issues that I had w/MLB earlier in the thread. Are u having different results i.e. the "overuse" of the cutoff man, lazer hits, rocket arms, 1 run games, huge outfields? Or are those quirks of mine of no significance to you. Do u have a set of sliders that u use? If so, I am open to using them if your results are different than mine

MVP05 for pc with roster mods. Especially the classic year mods like 1978, 1961. But with the right datafile adjustments and roster set, this has always seemed the most realistic for me in cpu vs cpu or manage only mode.

I do see the cutoff man used a bit too often, but that doesn't bother me. Haven't paid any attention to rocket arms and am not having one run games. Outfields seem right to me.

No game has the entire package yet. This one is a close as it gets. When I look back at past games I've played these last hundred years and see some of the stuff that we have now I'm more than satisfied.

Love the presentation, love the game play, love the game. Hopefully 2008 will address some of the "issues".
