        I'm not getting this game because I CAN hit... I hit nearly every single strike (yes, even with pitchers), and I'm hitting too many homeruns. I know I know, this game isn't as homer happy, but this game didn't seem to change much (even from 2002!!!) to make the gameplay MUCH better.

        I'm going with my gut on this one... WSB 2K3.

                No, but my friend has, and he says that there isn't much difference gameplay-wise (except for a different cursor... dumb idea to bring this one back from the N64 games). He also said they messed up the fielding camera view again, it moves too much.

                He can hit them just as well as me, and he is winning as much as he did on ASB 2003. He says for him it's homer happy.

                    Muffin,
                    I'd have to see someone dominate the pitching in this game before I'd believe it. Look at the posts on this board wondering why they can't hit. That ought to be enough evidence for you to see that the hitting is hard as hell. As I've said, I'm trading this game in, but if you like ASB, you'll love this game.

                        I have no problems fielding in this game. If you utilize the future throw, you can easily turn DP's and routine ground balls. Basically, before the fielder gets to the ball, press the button of the base you want to throw to, and it will eliminate any animation glitches.

                            You're right. I was gonna get HH anyway, but I hadn't planned on exchanging ASB for it. My problems with this game are the following;

                            1. Animations on ground balls take way too long and cause infield hits on balls that should be outs. When the fielder has to run to the ball, catch it, stop, squat, wind up and then throw, Sean Casey can beat out a ground ball.

                            2. Due to the fielding problem, double plays are virtually impossible.

                            <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

                            As Dooch pointed out, you're supposed to be using the "future throw". You're not supposed to wait until the fielder has it in his hands before telling him where to throw it.

                                Correct, it takes some time getting use to, and you'll start throwing DPs. And I have no problem with hitting, I turned the cursor off and also the strike zone and I'm having a heck of a time.

                                For the guy who said it was to easy, tell him to play with the Pirates or Brewers then see how easy it is.
