It took 16 innings to decide awesome game of ASB!

After nine the Rangers (me) and the Mariners were tied at 2. The thing that pissed me off was their 2 runs came on wild pitches in the dirt with runners on 3rd both times. Of course, being a new game, I had no clue what was going on at the time of the wild pitches. Anyways, the AI and I went through several pitching changes, used pinch hitters, runners, you name it and me in the CPU did it. Finally in the top of the 16, the CPU made a pitching change and brought in Jamey Wright. Wright came in throwing nothing but gas. I grounded out and flied out with the first two batters, Young and Glanville. With Carl Everett who was 0 for 5 coming up after Glanville, I figured that Wright would keep throwing fastballs since that's all he threw when he came in. I knew if Carl Everett could get a hold of one, he would take it out. I took the first pitch for a stike (fastball of course), lo and behold on the second pitch I got another fastball and the next thing I knew...I SAW THE LONG BALL CUTSCENE! I was ecstatic! Arod came behind him and singled, and Gonzales lined out after that.

I still had to get them out at the bottom of the 16th. They got a leadoff double but I proceeded to send them down in order after the leadoff double.

That was a great game. Hard fought. ASB looks like a keeper, in addition to the other games I will buy!

I had a game like that last night as well. Only mine was against the Astros, where Rolen hit a 2 run double off of Wagner in the 9th to tie it at 5. Albert Pujols 1 out single with JD Drew on 2nd gave me the lead in the top of the 12th, and my newly edited Rick Ankiel came in to get the save in the bottom of the inning.

I've simmed a bunch of my games and am now in the middle of June, with the Cards 8 games over .500 ball and the Pirates of all teams 1 and 1/2 games out of first. (Houston is 2 games out, the Cubs and Reds are both like 6-7 games out, and the Brew Crew are already like 14 games out. That's great...lol).

Sounds great! 16 Inning games are hard to come by, even two wild pitches in the dirt with runners on 3rd are usually never seen in video games. I'm glad that something like that could happen.....though it did suck that runners scored for the CPU in your game. ASB looks like its gameplay has vastly improved. Thanks for posting that great game.

The best game I have had is one that I lost to the brew crew i think...

I was losing 8-0 going into the bottom of the 7th and the opposing pitcher struck out the side..

Then in the eigth I forced across 2 runs on a solo shot by Tino then a double, then sac bunt, then sac fly so 8-2

So then in the ninth their pitcher tries to finish off the game..He loses control though, walking Drew and Edmonds and Pujols and bringing up Rolen, who leads the league in Homers and is tops in the mvp race..On the full count pitch with 2 outs he goes deep down the left field foul line for a grand slam making it 8-6....then renteria comes up and singles and then tino takes a free pass....Marrerro worked the count full with a chance to win the game then flew out to the warning track...

That is my best game so far

played 12 innings in pac bell and lost 3 -2 to the crappy padres . I came back twice to tie it once in the 5th and the 9th.
padres had good d and a great performance from brian lawrence. bonds hit two to the fence but kotsay ran them down ,the second one he jumped at the wall (unreal). bonds also was thrown out trying to strech double into a triple(it wasn't on purpose) I lost it in the 12th when nen was out gas and jensen wasn't warmed up. I had klesko 1&2 in the count ,he fought 3 fouls to the 3b side and ed alfonsio dropped a pop up on one of them (error). I rather take my chances with a dead Nen than a not ready jensen and than klesko ripped a triple in the gap , cruz jr. took a dive and it rolled to the wall. What a game!!!!
schmidt also pitched good 6ks in 6 1/3 innings.

Great game continue!!! I just finshed a 14 inning affair. Indians(me) vs. Orioles. My starter went 9 inning (B. Anderson) and it was tied 1-1, after playing lefty righty and changeing pithers and putting in pinch hitters for 4 innings. and great ending came about. After a lead off single by Burks Matt Lawton came up and belted a two run shot. SWEET. in the bottom of the 14th I loaded the bases and barley gotout of it. Final Tribe 3 Orioles 1!!! My only issue was they gave the player of the game to Brian Anderson for going 9 and K'ing 5 but Lawton went 4-5 with the game winning 2 run shot.
At first this game as far as game play was a little hard to grasp but now, I love it. This and WSB will both be in my collection.
