Is ASB non cursor equal to HH batting?

Meaning there is no cursor whatsoever. I am still confused about this. I actually read the threads and I still am not 100% understanding it. Unfortunately I have a ps2 so I can't rent or buy it yet. Thanks for any feedback.

"exaggerated pitches" + "zone batting" = high heat

let me see if i can get this right for ya!!
classic hitting = 2d batting cursor
normal hitting = 3d batting cursor
easy hitting = no batting cursor, just hit swing button to hit
zone hitting = no cursor but you have to use the directional pad or analog stick point where pitch is coming then hit swing button thus i think this is the type of hitting high heat uses!!

If i'm wrong someone please correct me!! hope this helps!! later

In theory what asb man said is true, but it is not the same as HH. Whether you think this is good or bad is entirely up to you. Picking up the pitch is still pretty hard, if that is the kind of challenge you want you will probably like it.

                Thanks fellas.

Is easy hitting called that b/c a novice can do it or is it just another name for no cursor?

Sounds like from Dick Smalls posts exaggerated pitching is the way to go.

Exaggerated pitching is definitely the way to go. And the machanics of Zone hitting are just like HH. It still feels different because the pitches come in very differently in the two games. Easy batting is basically just timed batting - all you have to do is wait for a good pitch and swing at the right time.

I'm using Zone and am really liking it.

So direction is not a factor in easy batting? If so I am not sure if I would like that.

That is what Zone batting is for. Easy is just timing your swing but (and this is an Anna Nicole Smith sized but) you still must be selective about which pitches to swing at and which to take. Otherwise you will be popping up and hitting weak grounder everywhere. And you can still swing and miss, BTW.
