I did a roster download last night and Sammy Sosa was on the Mets. No joke, and it wouldn't let me trade him back to the Cubs.

Yep, I noticed the same thing, Jeromy Bernitz was playing right field for the Cubs. So I scrapped the roster update. Finally played the game and dang......I got pounded. Couldn't pitch to save my life. I must say, it's not a bad game. I'm just looking out for bugs at this point. Had Remlinger overthrow first on a pickoff attempt, the ball went into the stands and the runner scored. I couldn't even retrive the ball. Some of the same things are in the game when I bought 2002 and traded it in for the High Heat series; poor collision detection is the most evident. I'm playing zone hitting on veteran level with all the aids turned off, and exaggerated pitching and hitting the ball ok. Scored 4 in seven innings, and then had to quit. The problem was, gave up 11 runs. But truly don't have the controls down at all. But this doesn't feel like the same game that I played in 2002. It's more polished, it's beginning to feel more like baseball. I was having fun playing it and I didn't have a lot of fun with High Heat last year and I'm a baseball purist. Let me tell you though, the GM options.........talk about deep. I'll give you more impressions after I play a few more games and don't feel like I'm trying to learn the controls. This is not a homer fest however and that was my biggest problem with the ASB series.

PS2 does have updates. It's an option in the game.
