Has anyone seen this yet? I was at the Braves/Dodger game yesterday and there was a little table set up talking about it. From what I understand you set up a player and play games with 17 other peeps. Basically you set up a guy to play a certain position and then you play the position of your character and everyone else plays their position. I haven't tried it yet. I will set it up once I get home for work today.

I will send out my user name once it's created.

I heard Cal Ripken jr talking about this on Mike & Mike in the morning the other day. I may try it out later on.

I played it a year or two ago when it was in beta. It was called UBo at the time and was a little laggy but I'm sure it was just to do witht he fact it was only a beta build. I never played the final product but it was a very interesting idea. I was a speedy 2B and just played pick-up games.

anybody else having extremely slow d-load speeds? it got to 80% and slowed down ridiculously....not sure whats going on?

I just signed up and started to download and it told me it would take 5 hours.

wheres your transfer rate at? i started earlier this afternoon, was around 21 KB , which was about an hour d-load time. but at around 80% complete, it seemed to freeze up, so i hit cancel, and went to d-load again, left off where it was from..but my speed is now down to about 1 KB and is going to take me 3 hours to finish it off.

I don't know what it was, I quit the download as I didn't feel like waiting that long.

Just checked again and it's downloading around 15.0KB/s. I'm moving up in the world.

this game crapping out for anyone else? first, to get it d-loaded i had to post on the games message board, someone happened to post a rapid share file of it since the main server makes it go to slow. open up the game, updates had to be d-loaded, which took longer than it should have, prob because again server is getting overworked. once everything was ready to go, i go to launch game and the loading screen just stays open and the game never goes. dont know, think the game needs some major work done to it.

Pretty much the same experience here. When I finally got everything downloaded and updated, it just crashes when I run it. I've given up on it for now, maybe sometime later I'll try to troubleshoot it and figure out what's going on, but frankly I don't have time for crap like that. Pretty unprofessional, especially when you read the forums and realize this is the norm for this game so far.

I used to play when it was still Ultimate Baseball Online. I just went on and got the new version the other day, but for some strange reason my IP is banned from the game. I have absolutely no idea why it just is. I emailed them also and they replied asking for my IP address which I gave to them. This was on Saturday, they still have yet to reply back to me. Their support is terrible.

I remember when UBO was in its infancy, and the support was TERRIBLE. I'm betting it still is. Why Cal hasn't signed with a REAL publisher is beyond me. Can you imagine if he signed with The Show team? Or even 2K8? Anyway, Ultimate Baseball Online was a horrible looking game, very beta-like, and it seemed most people enjoyed playing it just for the fact that you could team up with other people. As far as the gameplay experience itself, it seemed no one cared for it. Adding a HOF player's name to the mix does not a decent game make.

Okay all....sorry for the late reply, but I haven't been on here lately. I played the first and 2nd night I started this thread, but other then that have not been able to get on. I've only played 1 game online. My name online is RoyMunson.

It's ok, I used to have multiple charcters on the game, GoYard was my main one I think , I only got him to minor. Maybe with Cal Ripken's endorsement they will make the game better.
