    MY WEEKEND GETAWAY WITH ASB2004....

first let me start off by saying i'm not a fanboy of anyones product. who eve makes the best produce wins my $ and my heart for a year. that being said,

this past weekend, i stayed in and got a lil' R&R and played quite a bit of ASB2004. one thing i did was work on my i eye and hand coordination for batting. i watched about 4 games (36 innings) and just concentrated on watching the ball out of the pitchers hand into the batting zone. Harold Reynolds once said something about seeing the seams on a ball during entery. that's what focus did and it works! i no longer see the little white dot indicating where the ball should enter the strike zone. that is what was throwing me off. now i average one hit a game with each batter. this is using the classic cursor. my strike out are down considerably. also, i now can time & position my swing to hit the ball to where i like for it to go. mind you, alot of times it's based on insticts. depending on what the pitcher gives me.

working the batter while pithing is a challenge but alot of of using the pitch/batter history, and hot/cold zones. anyone gettng the tale kicked should really into the habit of doing this, i works! learning how the balls break & watching your pitchers fatigue really is a facture to getting great hitters out.

animation on this game are decent, but not a game killer. i believe acclaim will use a different gfx format because the one there using is not getting it done.

i didn't get into the franchise to much, but it's not for the fate at heart. seems you really need to know your the game to evaluate the talent and working deals.

not to much depth on what i've learned, but i can tell you this game is very enjoyable and will give you a good challlenge for time to come. ppl have their opinions, this was mine. happy gaming....

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...
