Those Show photos look nothing like the game looks on an HDTV, even if they've been taken from a HDTV. I've played the 2k demo PS3 and I'm just glad I didn't get that game this year.

Yeah. The show is far superior when your actually playing. I'm glad that I didn't get 2k8 too.

They weren't taken from a t.v. these are straight from the console to the PC and Saved! None of these photos came from a HDTV, these are feeds straight from the console to a HD Capture Device. No cameras....and how can you say they look nothing like that, when that is a straight 720p video feed? Its in motion, so its hard to keep the resolution exact!

I know I'll probably get bashed for saying this, this is just my opinion, but I think the people in the show look like stone(mainly the shape of the jerseys). But the faces in the show are tremendous.

The only thing that I have thought was lackluster with the Show is the graphics...I know that sounds crazy, but the game looks a lot better in screen shots. I have a great TV, run on HDMI cables, and have run the game in 1080 and 720P. The jaggies really hurt the graphics I think...close ups and cut scenes are gorgeous, game play sometimes looks PS2'ish.

What did you want me to say? They do not look like the game I see on my HDTV, period. A few of them look straight off the PS2. Sorry, if you wanted me to agree with the 2k ones then what's the purpose of this thread?

The difference between The Show HD and standard is night and day, big time. Even if these came "straight off the console" they don't look like they did. Sorry, that's my opinion. Especially the 2nd and 3rd shot. Looks like the PS2 to me.

I agree it doesn't look like that on your t.v.

When using a capture card, the video is interlaced and more jaggy! Also with out the tunings of a t.v. Its not as vibrant and bright! I will post some really HD Progressive shots later tomorrow when I have time, just to show you what I mean. Its in 720p, but its blurred and darker, because of the interlacing when in motion, so it was hard to really get that detail you would normally get!

But that wasn't the point of the thread, it was just to point out the difference of 2k8's graphics and MLB's! And this should show people just how out dated, 2k's engine is, and how The Show, just steps on every toe of it!
