Is the play by play anygood in ASB?

Since I only own a Cube, my only option for a SIM is ASB, and HH doesn't come out until April. Is the play by play any good? Do they talk about specific players, do they repeat a lot of the same stuff.

And how long are the vids with Ripken, O'Neal, etc... Does the Cube version still have all the videos?

I own ASB for the PS2 so I'm not sure if the GC version has all the vids or not (I've heard it doesn't but I'm 100% sure/check past posts),the play by play (Thom Brennaman) is pretty good and the color commentary (Steve "Pysco" Lyons) is awesome and very informative, lots of stats and player analysis, also the two guys will break into a baseball related conversation that will/could last a couple innings while the game is still going on (ignoring what's taking place on the field), it's very realistic.

The only repetition that occurs is in the bull pen "(Insert name here) get's up and moving in the bull pen" The commentary is pretty realistic, and it won't lag behind the game. I mean lag like say a play happened right, then a few plays later, the commentators mention it like it just happened.

The Gamecube version does have all the same vids as the PS2/XBox version. It also has all the commentary, as far as I can tell.

It's the best compared to the other games.

The best thing about the play-by-play....

Brennaman and whoever the other announcer is (I know his name, just can't think of it right now...I want to say Lyons) were calling the game (White Sox vs. Royals) and out of the blue, they start talking about what a great hitter Barry Bonds is...well, they are talking about him, and I hit a fly ball to right field...it went something like this...

Brennaman: "I just can't believe how good of a hitter Barry Bonds is. He absolutely crushes fastballs, and is very hard to get a pitch by..."

Brennaman: "And we have a long fly ball to right field...caught for the out!"

Lyons: "Yeah, I know what you mean...Bonds is certainly going to be in the Hall of Fame, and might even have a chance to break Hank Aaron's Home Run Record."

Then they kept going for about another inning and a half about Barry Bonds...

                        SWEET!

The other night, I left my game running while I went downstairs to take care of a few things. I was gone about 10 or 15 minutes.

When I got back upstairs, I could hear Psycho Lyons saying "Helooooooooooooooo. Are you there? What is your problem? Why do you just put down the controller? What, did you have to go get a sandwhich?? Are you scared or something?

Then Thom chimes in with "yeah, I mean that's understandable that you'd get hungry, but to put down the controller for this long? What are you thinking?"

I just sat there and about died laughing at these guys.

Now, I didn't quote them word for word because I can't remember it all, but you get the point.
