She says she wants to get naked?

Late, great writer from Atlanta Lewis Grizzard once said the difference between naked and nekkid is naked means you have no clothes on, but nekkid means you have no clothes and are up to something.
The secretary said she wanted to get nekkid!!!! I promise I seen it one night and Jack Daniels was there to witness it.- LETS GO RED SOX!!!

I finally got some extended play time in and just realized the Wii version DOES support 480p and 16:9!
The aspect ratio looks completely wrong if you set your Wii to 16:9 but leave your TV at 4:3.Comment

Some cool things I saw last night
-Just noticed that the pitcher ducks and squats on throws from the catcher on runners stealing 2nd.
-Also saw the catcher make a bad throw on a steal attempt and threw the ball way into center field.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
Grrr...I hate when the catcher throws it into center field, I mean it's cool when I'm playing and it happens, but when I going through success mode as a pitcher and throws go into center field it makes me mad. Half the time they don't even throw it until the runner is almost there because CPU fielding is dumb. I wish I could field in success mode when I'm a pitcher, I even tried discarding rookie charm and it sitll doesn't work the CPU fielders are completely stupid.Comment

Granted I NEVER see any weird stuff during exhibition games.Comment

Yeah I've noticed some bizzare plays by the cpu in MLB life in Triple A. Like fielders not throwing the ball right away and weird errors. But now that I'm in the majors I don't see it at all. I guess I thought it was cool in the minors and just chalking it up to non experienced players or not good enough major leaguers.\

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
I agree, it is wierd because I don't see this stuff in exhibition games either, sometimes a outfielder will take a bad route to the ball but that's not very common. I guess it probably has to do with it being the minors, I know the bad throws to 2nd are probably because the low fielding attributes of the catchers.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
So I went through the Yankees and I upped staminas as I saw fit giving only 1 guy (Wang) the highest stamina you could get and the other starters were in the low 200s and here is what I ended up with after simming the season.
Wang - 208ip 32 starts
Mussina - 203ip 28 starts
Pettitte - 194ip 29 starts
Kennedy - 192ip 30 starts
Hughes - 184ip 29 starts
Chamberlain - 127ip 0 starts (I didnt put him into the rotation so I'm guessing he was the main long relief guy)
The only reliever I edited was Ohlendorf to make him a long relief guy. I think a little stat boost on a few of these other guys and you'll see more 50ips.
Ohlendorf - 70ip
Albaladejo - 50ip
Bruney - 41ip
Hawkins - 36ip
Humberto Sanchez - 35ip
Farnsworth - 34ip
Rivera - 33ip
How all of this translates to a season you play all the games in I don't know but it feels like a step in the right direction.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
Got a question for everyone,,,
When a pitcher is pitching and the "exclamation point" pops up over his head,,,why does this occur????
Is it because you as the pitcher didn't hit the right direction on the stick??? Meaning you pointed it in a direction where you don't have a pitch type??
Or is it something else???
Thanks in advance.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
Just saw something else cool tonight, don't know why I never noticed this or saw it happen before, but I was the Royals and trying to turn two with Pena at short, and it was a groundball towards the middle,,,and he reached out with his glove, snagged the grounder then flipped it to 2nd with the glove,,I was like no way, and I replayed it and sure enough he did it, thought that was pretty cool.
Also on ground balls to the infield I like to move towards first before I make the throw, it gives the fielder a cool quick crow hop looking animation.
And one last thing,,,saw a sign advertisement in Kaufman Stadium on the OF wall that said G-Nuts,,,lol..just thought that was odd and funny.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
How do you alter lineups in season mode? I mean, how can you pit relievers in your starting rotation and how do you change batting orders and such? I can't find it anywhere!
Also, I've played around twenty games and I still haven't seen a triple.Last edited by ravens52bears54; 08-09-2008, 10:23 AM.Comment

Also, are there any collisions at the plate? I thought I saw one one time but wasn't so sure.
What about beanings? I'm too much of a hacker to take many walks, let alone get hit by a pitch. Do the batters ever charge the mound?Comment
