Rob Nelson seemed hesitant to say that walks would directly be better, he just said the AI had been tweaked etc. It seems most of the gameplay-related questions he danced around, which in a way tells me the focus was more on the modes and other surrounding elements.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). Well they said you can edit rosters via Arrange mode which we already knew, the more important factor was DO YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK that feature, which is why i posted that questions,,,which was hell last year, but unlocking the feature wasn't mentioned which sucks so now I gotta wait and see before I buy the game now.
Does anyone know the deal with that for sure, and maybe I missed it?
Or do we still not know for sure, if we can edit all the rosters straight out of the box, or have to get all those stupid points to unlock that feature.Comment

Re: Official MLB Power Pros 2008 thread!
I was really excited about this game, but after the conference call, I'm kinda turned off. Either 2k isn't serious about this game or they have no idea about it. Every question they danced around. It seemed like they had a script and if the answer wasn't on the script they didn't know what was going on. 2k is in enough trouble and putting out conference calls like this doesn't help people get pumped for their games.
I know power pros wasn't a big seller that people get pumped for like Madden or NCAA, but you have to at least get some momentum. Look at backbreaker, and it seems to me to be nothing more than a way to show off an engine. If you can get people to get hyped for that, then power pros with it's fun gameplay and modes different from any baseball game this year shouldn't be a problem.PSN:BrrbisBrrComment

Sounds like the MLB Life bit was incorrect in the OS 2K chat, it is reconfirmed to be 20 years long. Sweet!Comment

I think i'm just going to try to rent this Tuesday and see if Blockbuster has it, but if they don't, I hope someone here will post if you can edit rosters in arrange mode and use all the teams in season mode WITHOUT HAVING TO UNLOCK
I don't want to risk the purchase if this feature is annoying as it was last year.Comment
