Hi guys - just started playing this game but every so often the CPU will hit a ground ball just inches away from my fielder who will make no attempt to stop the ball, how do I combat this? Do I have to press a button to intercept the ball?????

I would think whichever button changes the selected player during an outfield popfly. You probably have to switch to him, then move him with the analog nub quickly so that you have time to move him so he can intercept the ball. I do not have the PSP version.
