Baseball Game I Would Like To See
One of my favorite baseball games off all time has to be Baseball Stars for the NES. I loved the format of that game and really wish it would come back. Heck, EA Sports said they are reevaluating their MVP license. Why not make an updated form of Baseball Stars. I know they don't own that name but they could always call it something else.
What do you guys think?NFL: Kansas City Chiefs
MLB: Boston Red Sox
NHL: Washington Capitals
NCAA Football: Nebraska and Virginia Tech
NCAA Basketball: North Carolina
NBA: I HATE NBA!!!Tags: None -

I never played Baseball Stars, but there were some grand old games out there, the older World Series Baseball coming to mind. -

Just looked up some images of that game. Sort of reminds me of one of my favs MLBPA Baseball. Played the heck out of that on Friday nights with a buddy (usually a double or triple header, depending on how many beers we had- back in my drinking days). Fun game.
Are you saying just keep the games that simple with the graphics and all?Last edited by jim416; 09-03-2008, 03:04 PM.Comment

Re: Baseball Game I Would Like To See
A simple, but GREAT baseball game.
I had sold my Sega Genesis some time ago, but am trying to reacquire one so that I can pick up this game. I remember when I first saw this game I was blown away and it really played a great game of ball, yet it was quite simplistic.Comment

Baseball Stars was/is a blast. I find myself playing it quite of bit here of late. I loved creating leagues back in the day and then playing them out. I also remember gettiing excited because it was the first game that I know of, where you could rob homeruns and make diving plays that looked decent.
This game is a classic that will never die and will forever remain in my collectionI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I never played it for the NES, but Baseball Stars and Baseball Stars 2 was excellent on the Neo-Geo. When growing up, one kid in my neighborhood had a Neo-Geo and had those games they were amazing. I still play those games on rom emulators on my PC from time to time. They run great.
Baseball Stars 1 was great on the Neo-Geo, but Baseball Stars 2 was way ahead of its time, was a very precise deep game of baseball. (so was the first but the graphics were much improved on the 2nd iteration, at least on the Neo-Geo)Comment
