    Indians Introduce new ticket pricing

This is a good idea. I'll probably go to games in April if lower box seats are 1/2 price. Sucks when I want to go on a Friday night after work.

Cleveland Indians announce new ticket pricing plan for 2009 season

The Indians announced new ticket pricing for the 2009 season that varies by the month, day of the week, and opponent.

The concept, team spokesman Bob DiBiasio said Friday, acknowledges that "not all 81 games are created equal. A weekday game in April or May has a different perceived value than a summer weekend game."

Generally, fans can expect to pay less -- even for prime seats -- for weekday and some weekend games early in the season and more for Friday and weekend games in peak baseball weather.

For instance, lower box seats, which cost $36 to $40 this season, will range from $18 for a weekday game in April and May to $44 for a weekend game later in the year.

The Indians, who open the 2009 home schedule with a three-game series on Easter weekend, April 10-12, against Toronto, established four price categories for the 2009 season at Progressive Field.

they ought to pay the fans to come...

i grew up in NE Ohio and moved to Florida 5 years ago...but I LOVE the tribe. i've suffered with them for years in the '80's, then saw a re-birth in the '90's and was at (then) Jacob's Field in '94 when it opened. Since Dolan has become owner he has done little to nothing to provide this team with the NAME talent that it needs to compete. personally, i think they OVERachieved last season - a LOT of things went right for them, especially the bullpen. but i digress...

i love sizemore, though i'm not sold on him as a leadoff hitter. cliff lee's season has been nothing short of remarkable, but this team has so many holes it's pathetic. and you can be certain that Dolan will NOT spend any money...
