Great to know Dr. Jones is working on this, I have faith that he'll make this title work

Its gonna be fun to watch this title develop. I've been a manage-only player for years and this title might fill the niche left open by High Heat.

You have got to be kidding me 2K
Because OOTP and Mogul arent all that. I've played both, and its so easy to exploit their trade logic.

Example: OOTP 9 demo, I started a Mets 1962 franchise. I was able to acquire Rico Petrocelli for Ed Bouchee. I was able to acquire Rusty Staub for next to nothing. And this was in 1962, so those two shouldn't have been able to be traded(since they were just drafted). Once I acquired those players for peanuts, I lost interest.

My biggest concern with this game is the price. I'm hoping this wont be a 60 dollar game.

Thanks for posting that, lot of interesting information in that Q&A. This game could be really fun.

Will this include correct Minor Leagues? I know you can't use The names but will there be AAA,AA,A and the rest?

Why is this being pushed as fantasy baseball for video games?

I don't see the connection and really, there shouldn't be one.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

                  I would think so.
It wouldn't make sense otherwise IMO.

I'll probably wind up checking this out, even though I'm still disappointed that there isn't a College Hoops this year.

Will this game have a manage only mode with full graphics? Could be very cool if done right.

Yeah that's basically what's going to determine if I buy this or not. I get more than enough of my share of text sim with OOTP, and really don't need another. A game with an actual 3D engine is a different story.

                                From Peter Abraham's blog (http://yankees.lhblogs.com)

Cashman was at Foley’s NY on West 33rd Street to take part in a promotional event for MLB Front Office Manager, a video game from 2K Sports. I’m not a gamer but the concept and graphics looked pretty cool. It’s like a fantasy team x 10. You build a team, you make all the moves a GM would make and you run through the season from the start of spring training. You even hire a staff and develop a scouting philosophy. At one point Hank Steinbrenner shows up with a cigarette and tells your plans to the other teams.
OK, that part I made up. It’s not that realistic.
If you’re interested in the game, check out the 2K Sports site.
