How about a pennant walk through for Pro Yakyuu Spirits 5?

I just got a PS3 for the sole purpose of playing the new PSY5 complete edition coming out in December. I have never played a PSY game before, though I have watched videos.

I have read the impressions as well as the translation guides but they seem a little sparse. Anyone willing to give a walkthrough of the pennant mode for those of use anxious for the new game?

For example, what feature works the best in that mode? Which is the worst?

Do teams play in multiple stadiums during the season as they do in real life?

When you play the Asia series, are the opposing teams/players real or fictional?

    How are injuries?

How many games are in the season (144?) and do you play all of them?

What "little things" are in the game that impress you?

I am sure there are other questions but since I can't find any English reviews and impressions have been pretty general, I'd love a very detailed description of how your pennant mode went or is going.

    Thanks.

      1. Teams do play in multiple stadiums during the season as they do in real life(i.e Orix Buffaloes playing in both Skymark Stadium and Osaka Dome)

      2. You can play Pennant mode in these types of ways Manager Mode(self explanatory), Field Play(play as one player for the entire game), Tag play(you can play with a friend on the same team) and the usual which is play with the entire team.

      3. When you play in the Asia Series instead of playing League teams from Taiwan, Korea and China you play the countries national teams. The players are fictional because of liscense reasons.

      4. Injuries are like any other typical baseball game.

      5. 144 games

      6. The thing i love the most about this game is the atmosphere, i love hearing the chants for each player and each team. This game made me feel like i was watching a actual NPB game. When one of my players got hit with a pitch they showed a cutscene where my player gave a look to the pitcher and the catcher was holding my player back, i loved the tension of that cutscene. The game has every detail of all the stadiums in the game (i.e cocoa cola ad, KFC ad, and even a Ichiro ad in the Tokyo Dome)

          Wow, sounds great.

Now I have another question for anyone that cares to answer. Which Pacific League team should I play with and why. My family's ancestral home is Fukuoka so I am leaning Hawks but Seibu is really good and Hokkaido does have Darvish. Any recommendations?

If Konami edit the teams the way they ended the season then if I were you i wouldn't even get near the Hawks (last in the PL). As for the Lions and Ham Fighters, the Lions are the way to go because they have more pitching depth and a very powerful lineup. The Ham Fighters are a very balanced team.

Good call on the Hawks...I was being a bit of a homer. Maybe they'll be good for a challenge.

Anyway, one other question on pennant...there is an option when entering pennant that I think says "custom team". Can you edit teams or anything before you start? What exactly does that option do? Thanks!
