If you got Kanzenban, what will it take for you to buy Pro Yakyuu Spirits 6?

I was one of those guys who got in late and my first PYS was the Kanzenban edition which I am still playing (it only came out in December after all).

So, for those who also got that game, what are your expectations with a new game? Is there something specific you expect to see before making the decision to drop another 80 bucks just 6 months later?

Since I only see NPB baseball every 2-3 years when I visit Japan I think I can survive if the rosters are a little out of date and if I don't have the new Hiroshima stadium. But if there are some great new features like playable Ni-Gun teams or a World Baseball Classic tournament, I may decide to go for it.

So, how about you guys?

i read 6 will come out in the summer, apparently some guy emailed Konami and thats what they said.

For me, i will buy it no matter what, i want updated roster cuz i follow the leagues. but what will really make me pay 2X for it is if they include a WBC classic mode with real players so that I can enjoy using Ichiro, Jeter, and all the MLB stars with Pro Yakyu SPirit's gameplay. i have my hopes up because Konami is already including real WBC players in MLB Power PRo 2009 so why not in PYS?

actually if they ever do a MLB VS NPB pro yakyu spirit...it will be the best game ever and the only game i will ever need in my life.

How do you like Kanzeban? Is there a place I can see some good vids of it?

Not sure if there are videos and I really can't compare it to other games since it is my first PYS game...that being said, I love it. The cut scenes are great and the game play is realistic. The commentary sounds like a real game and the movements are all very life like. All in all, the best baseball game I have ever played.

Whats the difference between this and PYS5? Also why is PYS6 being released in the summer?

From what I understand, Konami always releases games about a couple of months into the season...sort of like OOTP.

Kanzenban came out in December and basically took the game from the previous summer and added new players, fixed rosters, and updated some other little things.

Number 6 is back on the regular schedule of summer releases. So it will (hopefully) have plenty of improvements that will result from a full development cycle.

Just some basic english text is all that is needed. It can't be that hard for them to do.

Yea hopefully they implement it, I liked PY5 but gave up on it because the language barrier became too frustrated. You just want to pop in a game and play, not have to read a manual to figure every little thing out.
