Anybody buy both MLB 2k9 and MLB 09?

was wondering if anybody picked up both titles? was just at Gamestop and overheard the guy in front of me mentioning already owning MLB 2k9 when buying MLB 09. he didnt seem dissatisfied with 2k9, i think he mentioned something about always picking up both.

not something i'm familiar with, nor do i have the funds to be buying both every year, but interesting nonetheless. anyone else do this?

btw, i aint looking for franchise-bashing!

I have both, though for different systems.. 2k9 for the 360 // the Show for ps3.

Both games play a decent game of ball. You may need to tweak some sliders to get it to your liking - but 2k9 is not as bad as people make it to be.

The Show plays really well also.

I have no problem having both in my collection.

I'm intending to get both, I'll get 2k9 on the PC though.

I have both, but 2k9 (on PC) is pretty much on hold until the patch drops. It's just really hard for me to play when the CPU swings at anything and everything.

Yes, but it's not what you think. I bought 2k9 for 360, saw that it was a bugged out mess, and bought The Show...for PS2. I don't have a PS3. I will be trading in 2k9 this week, as even the patch failed to make it playable for me. Last-gen The Show doesn't really excite me, but it does play pretty well. I only wish you could shorten game lengths and schedules in Franchise mode. Oh, and in-game saving would be nice, too.

I am in the same boat. I find 2k9 to be a fun game, that is a nice change of pace to The Show. But imo, the Show is superior to it on just about every level.
