    WHY I HATE HIGHT HEAT

    This is the best game I have ever played. You ask why I hate it. It freezes all the time. I have switched my game at the store. I will play about 10 games then boom. It freezes in the 9th inning and at the summary screen. Its terrible this happens. I just had the game of my life. Sosa 3 homers and bellhorn with 2. i came back in 9th to win it. i get to the summary screen to check the stats at. i hit the triangle button to back out and boom. FROZEN. I CANT BELIEVE THIS. I have played 35 games and it has frozen in 11 of those games. I called my rep at 3DO. He did mention thats one of the glitches. I rent these games out and the guys tell me the same thing. It makes the game painful to play.

              PS2. I do love this game but its a tease. Whenever I hit homers and have a great pitching game, I pray it saves. You cant save between innings on ps2.

                      Man that really sucks... that would get my blood boiling as well. Something must be up, because I have played somewhere around 100 games on my PS2, and I've only had the game lock up ONCE. Not to mention this is a launch PS2 we're talking about! I'm amazed you've stuck with the game actually... I think I would have thrown it out the window a long time ago if it was giving me that much trouble.

                              Your S.O.L. here. Won't help exchanging discs. All the ps2 discs have the same problem, and you get lockups almost every 3 games. Too bad they did not have a in game save option but if you have xbox, get that version, no lockups at all.

                                  Your S.O.L. here. Won't help exchanging discs. All the ps2 discs have the same problem, and you get lockups almost every 3 games. Too bad they did not have a in game save option but if you have xbox, get that version, no lockups at all.

                                      It's the blue disc, right? Seems all the blue discs do this to the older PS2. I played HH while I waited for ASB to come out, it never froze on me, so I guess I have the newer version of the PS2. The older PS2 (they look the same) had trouble with blue discs, but I have heard that if you have the PS2 in a vertical position, it does seem to help, I don't know how much, but word is it helps alot. Try that, I'd love to hear if it helps.
                                      While we're on the topic, why don't companies just make the games in DVD format instead of CD Rom (blue disc), the DVD format rarely ever freezes.

                                              This has happened to me twice since the day the game was released, and the only time I didn't play this game nightly was the two weeks after WSB was released.

                                              Maybe it isn't the game pal.

                                                      Positioning my PS2 vertically helped. I haven't had the game freeze since then. It did freeze on the stat screen after a game I played maybe 4-5 times. Since I put my PS2 vertical, not once. Hopefully this will do the trick.

                                                      Not sure why 3DO went with CD's and not DVD's. Doesn't make much sense.
