Wonder why they took this out of games. I always like positioning my batter in the box.

I remember this; not sure if you ever played the MLB '98 or MLB '99 during the PS1 games (from 989 sports - same as SCEA now) but it had the ultimate batting selections...You could choose a stance and make it an open stance, normal or closed, choose the followthrough swing and lastly could move in the batter's box up, back, in and away from the plate.

      Good times...

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

One of my favorite games of all time. Me and my brothers had a blast playing that game.

I think MVP 2005 was the last game I remember letting us move around in the batters box.

Technically, your player slides around in MLB Power Pros when you move the cursor inside and out.

I wish you could move your batter in the show because i can't stand looking at some of the hitters who have their front foot almost touching home plate.

Thats why I like Baseball Superstars 09 for the iphone. It reminds me a lot of old games like RBI baseball. I move the batters around like crazy in that game.

Not in the 2008 edition. That was only in the first release. Can't say I really miss it or notice that it's gone. It did give the game slightly more retro flair.

yeah, Esocbar for the Braves has his front foot almost on the plate.
