This game is SO much better than last year's debacle!! This is hard-core fun. I can't believe I bought HH, MVP, and WSB (for about 2 days), before this. Last year's version was non-money, but 2004 rules!! The gameplay's so much smoother, the game plays faster, flows better, it's just plain fun. Stayed up til 4 am playing it! Baserunning's still weird....sometimes I can't get a double even when I use the trigger, because the runner just decides not to go. All those reviews that said that this was basically the same gameplay....wrong,wrong,wrong,wrong. It's so much more realistic. In fact, it's the most fun game of the year. By far!!!!! Hell yeah! I finally found a sim with some features for a console!!!!!! (Pardon me...I'm a little excited)

What console do you play it on X,PS2 or GC? I played the Home Run Derby Demo on XBOX and thought the grfx were terrible. Although I liked ASB2003 on GC.

There are other games who's graphics are better but we're more concerned with gameplay on this side.

Yes it is that damn good. I just got it about 3 weeks ago and cannot put it down. Heck between this and nba street2 I can't go no sleep, which really sucks if you have 2 jobs .. Oh well I guess I can suffer a little. But welcome to one of the best baseball videogame so far.

I really love ASB 2004 and what it has to offer, but I suck at batting! Here's the deal:

I'm a High Heat guy, and well, lets just say the pitch speed in High Heat is a "little slower" to say the least. Basically I've never played a baseball game with the pitch speed of this one. Not saying its a bad thing at all, probably makes things a little more realistic, but I'm really strugling with the speed right now. That along with the Curser based batting (Again, High Heat user, never used it before) is making me strike out about 18 times a game (stop laughing).

I really want to play this game and start a franchise. Any suggestions on how to get better at the batting aspect?

only thing I know is to keep playing it. It was hard for me too at first, and I am used to cursor hitting. Play rookie level if you have to.

yes! go into BP and just hit. Thought you already knew that. You can select what type of pitch is thrown or leave it random.

also use Classic cursor, seems to be easier (at least for me).
