who are you getting? Either way, the team that is getting Blanco, Castilla and Bragg is getting jipped in a big way.

if you are the cubs you should just quit. if you're the braves then good trade. why would you trade one of the top set-up pitchers in this game and a great infielder that can play anywhere for 3 totaly crappy players. of course i shouldn't talk. i did trade todd ritchie to the braves for vinny castillo. i needed a 3B and i had nick neugebauer in the minors who is great in this game.

This trade definately favors the Braves, but its not as lopsided as you might think. Here's how the trade would look like in "real baseball" terms, not video game ones.

Castilla - You're getting a veteran presence who knows how to play the game. Slightly above average glove and still has some pop in his bat. On a contendor team , they might want to go this route over the younger (and might I add, really struggling this year) Bellhorn. Like I said, 1 year benefit vs. years of potential

Blanco - Getting probably the best arm in the game behind the plate. Against a team like Flordia who relies on the 1/2 combo of Castilla and Pierre, this guy is gold. Great for the old "Late inning replacement". No bat whatsoever

Bragg - Getting a nice left handed professional bat off the bench and will fill in as a utility roll.


As I said earlier, the braves definately are getting the better long run deal, but its not as lopsided as the previous posters argued.

Philliesfan makes a decent point, but I still think the Braves would have to throw in a younger player with potential to sweeten the pot. The Cubs aren't going to let Farnsworth go without somebody who could potentially replace him.
