Re: Question about hitting interfaces in ASB

Why is it when I try to swing often times the batter only checks his swing? I am not just tapping the A button (XBOX). Is it because I'm moving the cursor too? Also, do you hit foul balls with zone? Is everything a fly to center with zone?

In my opinion, zone hitting is just classic hitting, but with an invisible oval. If you hold down before the pitch is thrown it moves your invisible cursor, so if the pitch comes down the middle, you will miss it. But yeah, just like classic hitting there are a variety of hits and fouls. But since you cant see your icon, there are less balls hit up the middle.

I thought that Zone hitting was the same as any other "timed" system. I never even used the D-PAD. Just pressed the swing button.

But I read complaints from people using zone that they don't get variety of hits (too many fly outs) and that all hits mostly go to center. They also say that foul balls occur less often and rarely does the batter foul the ball straight back. Is this mistaken information?

Try it for yourself, if you don't like it fine. Its just something different
