this game is beautiful... the biggest challenge is learning the ropes of hitting (I recommend zone hitting as it produces the most realistic results). But the CPU's offensive struggles is something alot of people seem to have... rent it and try it out for about 5-10 games and see how many the cpu plays against you..

One thing I tried recently that has worked pretty well is to put my pitcher on CPU control. I switch it back if I want to intentionally walk somebody. You get much better stats this way.

Racoon, one last thing you can try is actually playing on Veteran level instead of All Star level... the CPU seems to be more capable of producing runs that way.. I can't explain why, but alot of people seem to agree.

It may not be enough though... I still seem to get out of jams sometimes pretty easy... even with all pitch indicators and strike zone off... pitching by feel. My only complaint with this wonderful game (other than the terrible roster editing) is the CPU's inability in some games to score...

The funny thing is, everytime I start to think that, I get torched 12-3 the next game.

I had to give up on pitching myself. I let the CPU control the pitching, while I play defense. My games have become way more realistic. With the CPU controlling my pitching, the only negatives seem to be more walks and K's.
