but it's not a 100% win/win game, it increases the chance to get/avoid hit

between inning is the same for pitcher/batter command.
my experience is that if you continually get 1 strike and 3 balls for batters, then your command wins.
on the other hand, if you are pitching and keep getting 1 strike 3 balls or all balls, you better change your command because the batter will 99% get a hit
there are also items that you can use before the game start (experience boost, sc boost, batter/pitcher boost). use it wisely, and you will see a big difference
last, this is just my own experience after playing 700 matches, winning% .540 ranking çƒè–
when you first start, try to look for some lower stars cards that you can develop, and once you get some sc on hand, then you can buy some pitcher cards.
it's very important that you have a good pitcher with stamina that can last at least 7 innings.
remember, reliefs and closers are very important too
imo, i go for the defense rating> contact> speed> power for batters
of coz, i have met players who have almost every batters with S power and win, but that's just what i like in baseball, hit & run.. kinda like devil ray tampa bay
so , keep playing even you are losing because your player cards do get experience after game
