is a 3rd party baseball game possible?

recently the release date for backbreaker came out and it got me thinking is there a possibility of a third party baseball game. Maybe the producers of backbreaker can use the same euphoria engine and produce a third party baseball game

It could, it just would need to be generic with no MLB reference.

i dont think the euphoria engine was really meant for baseball. College baseball yes i think it could succeed but not MLB.
      MLB: Texas Rangers
      Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
      NCAA: SMU, UTA
      NFL: Dallas Cowboys
      NHL: Dallas Stars
      NBA: Dallas Mavericks

Only console manufacturers can make MLB licenced baseball games right now. Sony makes the show. Microsoft or Nintendo could make a mlb licenened game if they chose too.
I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....

What about a game of legends and former star players. I'd prefer that to college baseball any day. But would a game like that be considered under 2k's license?

The only exclusive pro license is EA's with the NFL.

The only thing I want is for EA to stop being ***** and release The Show on the 360. 2K is not as bad as everybody seems to say it is in my experience, but also in my experience EA's baseball games are ****in' great.

EA doesnt make the show. Sony does. Thats why its not on the 360.

i really hope EA gets the rights to make a baseball licensed basball game again. don't get me wrong, the show is a great game, but everyone knows that EA does it right and they would make an unbelievable baseball game.

The thing is the show is exclusive to the PS3 and not everyone has a PS3, so the people that don't get cheated out of a good baseball game.

There's a chance they will. 2K baseball is hanging on by a thread right now and it's entirely possible that they may lose the exclsuive license.
