always hit the corners... in tight situations throw a 4 seam fastball so it rises to the highest point of the strike zone and they will usually foul it off

Since pitchers basically hit their spots every time in video games, it is okay to throw balls, and it will help you. Say you just threw a change up and you have 2 strikes on the guy, and you want to throw it again but you know if you throw it two times in a row it could get hammered. Set him up with a high fastball, and then come back with a changeup. Set them up with balls.

Also, if you use the generated counts it is easier to pitch, considering many times you will get a guy with 2 strikes on him to start off with.

Hits the corners, pitch around their hotzones, throw balls, just mix it up.

Just like in real life, pitch on an "L" Don't put balls right over the plate or leave them up and out over the plate. Especially breaking balls, don't leave them up, save that location for the 4-seamer. Don't take this the wrong way, but I wish i had the same problem, it seems as though i can't give up enough runs, LOL.
