Fro people that have played both The Show 10 and 2k10

For those of you who have played both games, if you could play only one, which would it be. The last 2k baseball game I played was 2k7 and I loved it. I've also played the Show 08 and I own The Show 09 , The Show 09 is darn near perfect in my opinion. I want to get this years game but i'm only getting one, so taking into account any bugs and glitches , which game is giving you the best bang for your buck. which one is the most fun. Also, are this years games enough of an improvement over The Show 09 to even bother buying? NOTE: I will only be playing single player franchise mode, I don't play baseball online.

No arguing with each other here, I'm just looking for honest opinions. I've read both impressions threads but each one seems biased toward their own game, so I'd like to hear from people that have played both games and can make a non biased selection of which game the feel is the one to get, if any.

    Thanks

I bought the Show and haven't opened it yet. Now, I see I can get 2k10 for the PC for 2.99 today so I may buy that and try it before opening the Show.

I think that The Show is years ahead of 2K10 so I'd recommend buying The Show 10. I've also had 08 and 09 and if you don't need the latest rosters (there should be 2010 rosters for The Show 09 somewhere), pitching training in rtts and the new broadcast cam then you can also wait for 11. The Show 10 is a great, great game but it's not worth buying if you have 09 tbh.

Bought and still own both. I like them both but if I could only have 1 then it would be the Show without question.

I still have the show 09 and am loving it. I'm in my RTTS mode 2nd season in the minor leagues (haven't even hit mlb yet) and am still loving the game.

I don't understand how people fly through these games and pickup the next edition the following year. Honestly, The Show 09 has enough for my enjoyment for 3 years at least. A sign of a great game!

Re: Fro people that have played both The Show 10 and 2k10

I played 2k10 starting the day it came out until last week when I bought The Show. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll ever play 2k10 again. The Show '10 is that good. I like analog pitching and hitting better than button pushing in The Show, but even so The Show is still quite a bit better. It's the lack of fielding control in 2k10 that really lost it for me. The presentation in 2k10 is better, but overall The Show really feels like you're immersed in a baseball game. I just am not getting that feeling with 2k10 and the 2k10 pitcher stamina bug got pretty annoying (and I'm pretty forgiving with games). Read "the little things" in the show forum and that'll give you plenty of reasons why it's just a better game. 2k10 is catching up, but still quite a way to go until they actually do catch up.

edit - the other thing is that if The Show gets a new presentation crew - which I think they will based on the fact that it's probably the biggest complaint about The Show, then it's going to take another step apart from 2k10. If SCEA ever adds some sort of MLB Today style feature, then I honestly don't see how 2k can catch up. It's a lot of work - I'd be shocked if they ever caught up.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts. @ VladCanada : I agree, I've downloaded recent rosters for the show 09 and I'm still loving it. I'm going to wait for the Show 11.
