Me and my friends used to play the game all the time. I set up a league and we played like 82 games a summer. It was the best thing ever -

My friend used to have MLB Showdown 2000. Definitely fun to play as a kid. Sandy Alomar Jr. was my secret weapon behind the plate, no one could steal on him.

my god, me and my two cousins spents hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on this game. One summer we pitched in to buy a case of 2001. but my best story was at the 2002 all star fanfest, i was a kid at the time, and played life size showdown on a mini baseball diamond in the midwest airlines center in milwaukee. i remember the 20 sided die was about the size of a beach ballSt. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

me and a friend played it a ton (I even won the regional tournament). but we left it as soon as we discovered the vastly superior Strat-O baseball.... which will still plan a ton.Comment

i miss this game so much
. my last tourney was a super regional win, which got me free season tickets, so i went out on a good note but i still want to play this game every so often...i played it for 6 years of my teen years and it was a huge part of my entertainment and social life (all my close friends played it too)
