    Baseball Association

For those with OOTP 11 or with interest in purchasing the newest version of one of the best text-sims in the market, there is a new league opening up that I am participating in and there are a few teams with openings. The league commissioner is a really old friend of mine and has been one of the most active members of the OOTP community as well as the Total Sports World community.

I have attached his letter below in case anyone has any interest in joining the league. Please read the rules before applying as this league is very different from the standard MLB-like leagues in OOTP. If anyone has any questions feel free to post here or send me a PM. Thanks.

The Baseball Association (BA) is opening its doors. A promotion/relegation league with sixty-four teams in operation across four divisions, the BA will open its doors in time for the 1950 season. The Association is set against the backdrop of post-WWII America, where migration began to happen in full force, and the game was changing in ways never before seen.

There are five openings left in the BA, spread across the league’s top two divisions. The top two markets in the BA, Atlantic (NYC) and Polibadores Athletic (Los Angeles) have openings, as do Key Biscayne Athletic in Miami, and Emerald United in Seattle. There are as-yet-unnamed markets in Houston and Cincinnati, both Div 2 markets, as well.

Please feel free to peruse the rules, located at http://www.baseballassociation.org/rules.pdf . If you have any questions, please feel free to contact BA President John Comey at [email protected] , or by registering for the BA forums, located at http://www.totalsportsworld.org/forums/forum.php . Hopefully the idea is intriguing enough that some of you give it a try.

Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful rest of your day.

    Sincerely,
    John Comey
    President, Baseball Association
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
