    OOTP 11 Disk Vs Download

Is there any disadvantage to getting the disk only version of OOTP 11 Vs the download version?

I would think the only disadvantage would be having to download the patches?

The disk version is $9.99 at Best Buy and Amazon.

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Other than having to get your patches through the 3rd party publisher there's no real disadvantage.

Someone told me on OOTP forums said they thought he disk version is ONLY MLB play. So if you want to do a fictional or historical league, you can't.

      I dunno too much

I guess that's a possibility. I vaguely recall there being more than one boxed version in the past (one with MLB-only, another variant with the complete game), but didn't think that was the case this year.

I guess there is a deluxe version which is just like the downloaded version.

I'd rather have the downloaded version, but I can't do the $40 price tag.

On the Viva Media support site they list two different patches for OOTP, a "Championship" version, and a "Deluxe" version.

Impulse has the "Deluxe" version download for $20. At that price you might be better off just waiting a month or so and jumping on an OOTP 12 pre-order offer for 30 or so.

Well I want to be able to do fictional league but this is beyond confusing. Which freaking version can I do fictional league?
The one from best buy only cost me 5.96 after coupon so I'll have that but if I need to get downloadable vewrsion I'll go ahead and get it today... if price is right.

The Best Buy one doesn't say "Deluxe" or anything for that matter. It just says OOTP Baseball 11 DVD

                          WTF? I don't know what's going on.

At the OOTP site. OOTP 11 is $39.99.

Snepp said Impulse has the deluxe version for $20.

I'm almost to the point of where I want to say F it and buy it for $40.00.

                          I dunno too much!

I'm off Friday, I'm sure if I haven't caved by then, I will that day.

What's the difference from buying it off Impulse and the OOTP site?
