If 2k loses exclusive lisence, does Konami use PYS engine for MLB Game??
I saw this idea from another posting, he was hoping 2k would lose the license (which now seems likely) and Konami would use the PYS Engine and make an MLB game.

Well good luck competing with EA. If they'd get rid of the stupid exclusive licenses MVP would come back, we'd have 2K12 and possibly even a PYS MLB. Throw in 'The Show' and it would really be crazy! I know...wishfull thinking.Comment

I don't know though....
That would mean an entirely new dev team...and with 3 other games in the mix...the cost/reward might not be enough for them to delve into mostly uncharted territory.
PYS must sell like crazy over there...so I don't think they would stretch that team too thin.
No exclusive is still the best thing that could happen to baseball games though...either way.

It'd be interesting but right now everyone's so far behind The Show, at least here in the US that it would be hard to make any money off it. MVP I think would do well as it's a name that's still known and the fact it would only have to compete with The Show on one system. If 2K loses the liscense will they even continue making an MLB game? As for the Konami game, I've seen the videos of it and while it looks impressive it also looks as though it may be a little too challenging for the casual gamer.Comment
