Password Requests for whoever still plays MLB Power Pros 2008..

If there's anyone out there who still plays MLB Power Pros 2008 (for the Wii), could you post your real player passwords here?
    Thanks.

I kinda need a Carlos Santana, and some Royals players, but any real players would be good if you guys have any.

Non-superstars are relatively easy to make. Just remember to stock up on carryover chocolate early on in you first season once you've earned about $300 and to do the steakhouse job for power (hitters) and stamina (pitchers). I'm a big fan of the Chinese Combo as my go-to meal to recovery energy. It's a little pricey but the big boost is worth it IMO.

If you post a list of players I kind of like the idea of having a few to create. As long as they're not studs it shouldn't be too hard to blow through them over the next few weeks. I'd say Carlos Santana should be E batting, C power, E speed, and then I have no idea what his fielding is like. You'll need to give a little description of playing style for some of these players (or pitch repertoire for pitchers).

This forum has a lot of user created player passwords: http://www.mlbppworld.com/index.php?...90d1c9c0ab8d18

Yeah, I've been on that site a lot, but most of the players are for PS2 and I have Wii. I have most of their Wii created players, but I still need more.
Thanks, though, I didn't expect anyone to respond to this.
I'll get up a list now of players and I'll probably check out 2K11 for stats because I have a pretty good idea of power, run spd., contact, etc. but 2K11 gives a in-depth description.

Re: Password Requests for whoever still plays MLB Power Pors 2008..

If you really want to, first, I need Carlos Santana (Do you need his appearance?), here's his stats:

        high D - low C contact (69 ovr.)
        low C power (73 ovr.)
        high D-low C run spd. (71 ovr.)
high C-high B arm str. (87 arm str.)
        high B-low A? fld. (82 catching, 85 throwing acc.,79 fld. range)
high C- high B? e res. (84 fld. anticipation as well as fld. stats)
So overall, Carlos Santana has some power, but his best work is on defense.
He also can play 1B, so I'd consider that as a secondary position (preferably a D or a C).He's better against righties than lefties, but I wouldn't give him vs LHP 2. He also has a pretty good eye (79 eye vs LHP, 76 eye vs RHP).

        His 2010 stats (150 AB,46 G): .260 AVG., 13 2B, no triples, 6 HR, 22 RBI, 37 BB,29 SO,.146 W/RISP, 3 SB, 3 E.

He's from the Dominican Republic, uniform number 41, birthday is 4/8/86, bats switch, throws right. They have his build as large, though I'm not sure if you can do anything about that.Team-colored wristbands on both wrists, brown mitt, dark-yellow bat,V-Mart batting stance. Great doubles hitter (84 vs LHP, 89 vs RHP), doesn't really hit triples, Gd block.(79 blocking pitches).

I hope the 2K11 ratings and his 2010 stats help, but if you need anything else just tell me. I don't really have a great idea of what abilities to give him, but I'd probably suggest Gd. Catcher and maybe Gd. Block. You probably will have to do more research on him.

Thanks in advance if you are able to complete this, and if so it'd be great if you could post it here.

Gotta remember that "D" is average in the Power Pros world (it's not a typical A-F scale, it's actually A-G and there's an E). A player with a "C" contact rating is a .300+ hitter (10/C = .300-.312, 11/C = .313-.325). A player with a "D" is a typical competent hitter (8/D = .275-.286, 9/D = .287-.299). You can do the rest of the math from there (an "A" hitter is .350+!) Santana is a guy who hit .260 last year and is struggling at the plate this year. An "E" of some sort seems appropriate.

I'll have to poke around the Power Pros forum to see about getting Gd Catcher and Gd Block. I honestly can't remember how to get those at the moment. I feel like I must have at some point but maybe I'm wrong about that. No promises on when I get it up - I've got to find the hour and a half to play through the mode. Hopefully by the end of the month.

Yeah, sorry, I usually go for MLB 2K11's stats and I guess I don't realize how it is compared to MLB Power Pros's. But if you can work from Power Pros's aspect and make him realistically, then I'd appreciate it. But thanks for looking over this and for trying this out. Whenever/if you can, then thanks in advance.

I'll look into Santana's scouting reports to see what other abilities he should have.
BTW, here's a link on how to get Gd. Block and Gd. Catcher as well as other abilities from the Power Pros Wiki:

                MLB Power Pros's forum (http://mlbppworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4481&hilit=Carlos+Santana) has some of Santana's abilities as Pull Htr.,Tough Out,Table Setter,Hot Htr.,Gold Glove,Gd. Block,Gd. Catcher, Star (questionable),Patient Htr.,Agg.Fld.,Pr. Small Ball, and Gd. Eye.

                They have his TRJ. as 3, Contact as 8 (D), Pwr. as 139 (C?),Run Spd. as 8 (D), Arm Str. as 11 (C), Fld. as 10 (C), and E Res. as 8 (D).

Not sure if this helps, I'll probably need to do more research on him, but here's a start.

That helps a lot and is pretty close to what I was thinking. It really shouldn't be too hard to make him.

Wait, why is he born on 4/8/82? I mentioned earlier that he is born 4/8/86. The only other real problem is the Youkilis-like batting stance. It's crouched like V-Mart's, but his bat is forward. Santana has his bat behind him.

The game came out a few years ago and bases age off 2008. If I set his birthday to 4/8/86 he would be 21-22 the way the game assigns age. I went with his correct age as of right now and just let the original birth year be wrong.

So far as the batting stance I didn't notice you mention it so I went off what I saw on the net. He really cocks it forward when he's waiting for the pitch and I thought that one was in the ballpark. Had I seen the V-Mart thing I would have used that stance.

As for the stance, I don't mind too much then, because that sounds realistic. For the age, if I start a season (I make updated rosters using Arrange Mode), everyone's age will be based off the 2008 season, so I figured I'd have him as his real age so that it corresponds if I go into multiple seasons. (EX. Santana will be 22 in 2008, as in real life, 25 in 2011, like real life, etc. He will age like everyone else correctly.)
