I'm playing mlb power pros 2007 on PS2, is Bobblehead better? I would like a power pros game with HD graphics.

    thanks.

I recently sold my Power Pros 2008 due to the fact that I do not have a PS2 and my 60 gig PS3 had to be replaced with one that is not backward compatible. Bobblehead has filled the void for me for sure. While it may not have as many options as 2008 it certainly looks a lot better and it does have enough going for it that I do not miss 2008.

Question for you Power Pro vets..

Im pounding teams on Legend mode. Everything on Legend and I use Low Assist hitting. I hate using Normal hitting bc no matter what I can never seem to hit the ball solid enough throughout a game. If I put my hitting on All Star and with the CPU Pitching on Legend, will that make it tougher for me or no?

Bc if not I may need to go the route of Normal hitting with pitch cursor plus assist on to help give me a better chance to make solid contact.

In 2008 there's a big difference between "normal" and "lock-on 1" in terms of being able to produce good contact. I find "lock-on 1" with fast pitch speed and CPU cursor off results in a pretty good challenge for me. AI pitching and fielding set to All Star. Not sure if the difficulty level names have changed but in 2008 "Powerful" is the most difficult of five levels and "All Star" is the second most difficult.

            ---

For Power Pro first-timers it's worth noting that the longer the cursor stays on a spot before you swing the more power you get. That's the reason you really drive balls thrown right down the middle if you don't move the cursor. If you're just slashing at balls and getting the cursor where you want it at the last split second you'll get a little less oomph than otherwise.

Well i tried my last 2 games on all star hitting with low assist and everything else on legend for CPU. Played much better. Seemed like with my team CPU hitting setting on legend gave me an advantage for some reason.

Figure my next step will be like mentioned above just go to fast pitch speed full time.

Playing with every thing cpu on pro. With hitting at what is it Mild or Med help. Forgot what its called ha. I just lost 17 to 5. I had 10 hits cpu had 23. Last nite i lose 24 to 2. But i play good 7 out of 9 innings. Its just the cpu hits me up big in bout 2 innings.

The game i just played lost 17 to 5 they had a 5 run inning and a 9 run inning. Nothing i do would stop them from getting hits in the shallow part of the field. Also i suck at fiedling

Woohooo I won one ha. 4-2 Yanks over Rays. I did one thing I shift my IF back and my OF in. Do you have to do it after every batter? I did it after every batter just in cause. All them lil flys in the shallow were fielded.

                    My settings are:
                    CPU...All Star Pitching
                    CPU...Pro Hitting
                    Low Assist Batting

And I think the key is to set pitch speed to FAST.

As of now I am getting realistic games / hits on both sides. Maybe as I get better I'll need to change the difficulty though.

I was gonna recommend you try that. That helped me a ton as well bc the CPU would drop hits in those spots all day on me until I realized I needed to change that.

Also I noticed I said above I play everything on Legend, that was false, all Legend except CPU hitting on Pro or All Star. I go back and forth on that.

But I swear I have a tougher time hitting when my CPU hitting is set to All Star and CPU Pitch on Legend. But when I up my CPU hitting to Legend I just rake all over the place.

So I'm gonna have to settle on my CPU Hitting on All Star and CPU Pitch Legend or keep my hitting on Legend and up the pitch speed to fast.

Still, this game is so much fun.

I finished April 15-12 I do believe and 1.5 back of the Braves in the East.

In My Bobble, I'm now like 3 games back and 50 plus games into the season.

Would you guys recommend this game over MLB 2K11? I recently remodeled our 2nd bedroom (guest room) and I've put my 360 in there, so I'd like to pick up a baseball game for the Xbox and am trying to decide between these 2 games.

I would try out the demos for both games. That will give you a good feel for both.

                          I prefer Bobbleheads.

It's a no brainer IMO, this game over 2K!! No doubt about it.

I had 2K11 for the PS3 for a bit and I enjoyed it. I have Power Pros 2008 on my PS2 and had fun with that as well. I like that Bobblehead let's you get a game over in 20-30 minutes, but not sure if the depth is there.
