Just bought MVP 05 for $1.99 for PS2

I was amazed at how fluid this game is/was. It still holds up even to this day and after 6 years of other baseball games I have to say I prefer this game to anything that has came out since. I love The Show but I think MVP is just more fun...as is last gen Madden....it's funny because 90% of my gaming time now is on the PS2 (minus Call of Duty). I think last gen sports games are 100% better than next gen if you can get over the graphical difference, which I have no problem doing. If you haven't played MVP in a while, give it another try....you may be amazed. ANd for $1.99 it is the best deal in video games at the moment.

I never sold mine, maybe I'll dig it out like I recently did power pros. Can't imagine it being better tho.

I saw it the game sitting in the bargain bin and I was like meh...but for $2 I figured what the heck...I did play the heck out of it back in the day....dropped it in the PS2 and the rest is history. And this is after being impressed with the bobble head game on the xbox360.

I will try it out when i get bored of power pros. I been on a old school gaming tear of late, they're more fun than this gen.

agree 100%...the thing that is mind boggling for me is thinking about all the money I've spent on next gen sports games over the last 5-6 years only to figure out that they're not substantially better than what is already out there. I just wish we had high def versions of these games (Old Madden/NCAA and MVP baseball)....it's disappointing to think about what we could/should have and don't....but I finding that I'm still satisfied with the old games with is good. Now I just have to resist the urge to buy the new games when they come which I failed to do with the is years NCAA Football...I bought it and surprprise surprise I was disappointed yet again.
