Fully customizable MLB sim

Looking for a fully customizable MLB simulation, text based is fine. Not looking for any kind of franchise mode necessarily, most important is being able to fully customize lineups for head to head play for a project I'm working on. Fully customizable schules for season play would be nice, but not a necessity. Everything I'm finding is running a team in an existing league. IS there anything where I can customize the league and control all teams, or simply control individual H2H matchups? Not interested in running a team.

OOTp is definitely it for baseball. Not too familiar with other sports sims mainly because there isnt a sim game that lives up to what OOTP does for baseball.

My dream game would be OOTP plus arcade action. I'd mainly want the arcade action for the graphics--I'd want to play games at Forbes Field, Ebbets Field, Polo Grounds, etc.

I just went to the website and saw where you can play any historical season from 1871 through 2010-amazing.

Can you create players with this game?

I suppose I could customize a 4 team league with a 15 game schedule if I wanted to?

Can you control pitch by pitch in head to head play?
