MLB 2K12 For PS3
I've bought the Show since 2010, but this year I'm seeking out a change. I believe the Show is just too hard for my liking, and I've adjusted difficulty, sliders, etc. So, I decided to ask you guys if you think 2K hitting specifically is easier than the Show.NCAA: Kentucky Wildcats
NFL: Tennessee Titans
MLB: Chicago CubsTags: None -
Re: MLB 2K12 For PS3
I've played both games, even played both on Rookie level, and I find 2K easier to hit. The one thing you can do with 2K is use batter's eye to occasionally tell you what kind of pitch is coming. But, even without that aid, 2K is to me easier for hitting.Comment

Re: MLB 2K12 For PS3
I would agree with the hitting being easier in the 2K series.
If you were looking for a game that is more fun and casual, then stick with the 2K series.
The Show, while a great series, seems to be more geared to the hardcore baseball fans.
Just my opinion though, of course.Comment

While their approach is very different, I enjoy playing both games.Comment

Re: MLB 2K12 For PS3
I consider myself a pretty hardcore baseball (and videogame) fan, and I prefer 2K to the Show. I would say that it is easier to have success in 2k. Games in 2k also move along a bit quicker, which is nice for those of us without a whole lot of time for gaming.
The Show is more polished, but 2k is a solid alternative.Comment

Re: MLB 2K12 For PS3
It's good enough after it's patched.
I am also looking for a little change this year. Not because I find the Show too hard or anything, but it's just getting a little stale. Hopefully we get some demos next Tuesday to help me decide which game to pick up.Comment

Re: MLB 2K12 For PS3
the consensus is, yes, 2k is more accessible.
the show has tried in recent years to make it more friendly to all skills levels [adding user controlled batting cameras, help texts, etc etc] but even so 2k still is the pick up and play baseball game of choice.
it also moves more briskly without sacrificing presentation.
you will get award winning presentation and stat tracking.
you will also get bugs.
one thing u will have if u keep an open mind is, fun.
thats still the most important part of a gaming experience.
enjoy baseball in 2012!Comment

Re: MLB 2K12 For PS3
I would definitely agree that the 2K series is more accessible.
While The Show is definitely more "polished" as everyone else has been saying, the real selling point of the 2K series is the gameplay.
The pitcher/batter experience is miles ahead of The Show, IMO. Getting a solid start out of your pitcher is a great feeling because you really have to work for it.
The Show still has the same old pitching meter that it has had for years, and its getting a bit stale IMO. They are working on their version of an analog pitching scheme, as well as introducing a other new pitching options this year, but to me, that is just another way to confuse some people, and drive up the game install to between 5 and 10 GB.Comment
